I was saddened to hear that Madge has died. She was a dedicated lollipop lady and totally committed to the safety of children.
I was Headteacher at All Saints School for 16 years until 2008 when I retired. Madge's lollipop was placed outside my office in the corridor and we'd always have a chat or put the world to rights! What a great character she was. I know she will be very much missed by family and friends and all the children of Freshwater.

As (until last month) the Chair of Governors at All Saints' CE School I wanted to acknowledge the service that Madge gave in the vital role of 'lollipop lady' ensuring the safety of children at the school. We are sad to hear of her death, and will hold her family and loved ones in our thoughts and prayers.
