I was saddened to hear that Madge has died. She was a dedicated lollipop lady and totally committed to the safety of children. I was Headteacher at All Saints School for 16 years until 2008 when I retired. Madge's lollipop was placed outside my office in the corridor and we'd always have a chat or put the world to rights! What a great character she was. I know she will be very much missed by family and friends and all the children of Freshwater. Helen Ayres.
